System Capabilities and Key Features

Comprehensive controls for your entire boiler room
Eliminate individual controls by installing BoilerLink to control your entire boiler room from a single easy to use touch-screen interface.

BoilerLink is itself a Combustion Control System (CCS) designed to UL standards. As part of the Burner Management System (BMS) it controls and monitors flame safeguard control systems from leading OEMs including HoneywellTM.

Fully customizable
BoilerLink can be configured and customized to display the exact information you want to monitor. It will realistically display your boiler room components on the screen and visually indicate the current status of all components.

Data and Alarm Logging
Keep track of what has been happening with your boiler by accessing the recording feature of BoilerLink which keeps a record of every alarm with associated code

Interface with plant-based DCS systems
With industry-standard Ethernet/IP, ModBus and BACnet communication protools, BoilerLink can easily integrate with almost any system you are currently using to control your processes.

HMI touchscreen
BoilerLink uses a high-def 10” touchscreen interface. Powerhouse has programmed this interface to visually represent what is happening in your boiler room, making it easy to safely control all key boiler functions.

Remote Control
Connected via a simple ethernet cable, the BoilerLink screen can be located anywhere in your boiler room or at any location in your plant. Powerhouse also offers the ability to have your system remotely monitored via any device with Internet access.

Email and Text Messaging
Powerhouse can configure BoilerLink to send out emails and text messages with key event notifications. We can even have the system advise you when it is time to perform regular maintenance items.

BoilerLink™ Protocols

Which type of devices/components can be controlled/monitored by BoilerLink?

Any device that is capable of sending out a 420mA signal can interface with BoilerLink. This typically means that any device controlled by a switch, button or other physical control can interface with BoilerLink. Depending on the exact type of component, BoilerLink can do anything from simply monitor to completely control the component.

What happens is I lose power or if the monitor stops working?

BoilerLink program and data logs are backed up via a standard SD memory card inserted in the unit itself. Like a computer, if BoilerLink experiences a power outage, it will simply boot back up to its default start up screen when it receives power back. Monitors can easily be swapped out. Any customizations will remain intact. In addition to local backup, all data can be backed up to a cloud- based data storage system.

How is the system locked to prevent tampering?

By default, BoilerLink programming features are only accessible via a custom passcode. This passcode allows administrators to configure BoilerLink and update its customization features. Customer may specify access controls and assign different passcodes to different permission levels.

Can BoilerLink take the place of boiler operators?

No. Rules and regulations requiring onsite boiler operators are not affected by the presence of BoilerLink.

Is BoilerLink waterproof? Can it operate outside?

Exact NEMA and IP ratings available separately. BoilerLink is an an electronic plc-based control system with touchscreen monitor. The screen itself is water resistant, but not waterproof. All components must be housed within a NEMA-rated electrical enclosure. The monitor may be exposed to outside weather conditions, but must be fully rain/moisture protected. The system can be operated in ambient temperatures up to 140 F. In ambient temperatures above 140 F, an air cooling system can be installed in the panel.

Can I remote operate my boiler and/or other components through a web-based interface?

No. The system may only be monitored via a web-based interface. Boiler and components must be controlled locally.

Can BoilerLink control linkage-based (jackshaft) burner systems?

Yes. As long as the modulation of the jack shaft controls is controlled by a motor capable of sending an electronic signal.
