Matt Stohner

Matt is the second generation of Powerhouse and cut his teeth working for the company in the shop and field during his formative teenage years.  Matt was fortunate enough to work alongside long-time boilermakers John Doorman, Bob Schmidt and Don Worthington.  When not working at Powerhouse, Matt enjoyed playing at high levels of roller hockey as a defensemen and soccer as a keeper.

Matt attended Bishop Eustace Prep High School and upon graduation enrolled in Drexel University located in Philadelphia, PA.  Drexel’s cooperative educational program allowed Matt to study engineering, operations management and marketing while holding several internships.  The first internship was with Arthur Andersen in the marketing department.  Second was Comar, Inc. where Matt was involved with the ERP implementation team and actually stayed on to complete the extensive project while back in school.  Lastly was an internship with Trigen Philadelphia Energy Corporation where Matt worked on the maintenance team scheduling and coordinating outages for the steam utility, again staying on to work on various projects.

Upon graduation in 2000, Matt took a cross-country road trip, visiting 30 different states.  He was lucky enough to reconnect with the love of his life, Carrie and soon was married and working at Powerhouse full time.  Boy/Girl twins arrived in June 0f 2008 and are now his cherished Anna Grace and Nathan Riley.

Matt is proud to continue the Powerhouse tradition.
